Cove Of Desire was founded in 1850 by a small British fleet that was looking for land along the Canadian Coast. They found a small bit of land along the edge of Newfoundland and named it Cove Of Desire. This was one of the many civilizations that the French and British did not fight over. The small settlement struggled throughout the years due to very few resources. There was a small Cod fishery off the south side of the settlement, but it didn't do much for the village. So, the founders sent their men into the wooded area to hunt. This is what kept Cove Of Desire alive, and this is why it's still a small village on the south tip of Newfoundland.

Simmons Stables Okay, so the stables isn't exactly in the downtown area, but it still counts as a family owned business. The stable is medium sized and is the only stable near Cove Of Desire. If you want the big stable, you have to travel across the city. The rates her are fairly good and if you buy a membership then you don't have to pay for everytime you ride.
