It was so cold... why was it so cold? What happened to the warm, comforting nights of summer? The strong, frigid winds were unsettling to the young, nineteen year old Dorein Cambell, sending shivers up and down his spine. He crossed his arms over his chest tightly as he made his way toward the cove, keeping his head hung low, trying not to attract attention. He knew if anyone caught him out this late, he would probably be dead, despite the fact he was already legal in the eyes of the law. But, his parents didn't see it that way, and still kept the boy under lock and key. But, that didn't stop Dorein. It never had.

He pulled the hood of the black and grey striped hoodie over his head, trying to keep from being noticed. But, luckily for Dorein, there were very few people out that night. They didn't really matter much, anyway. His mind was focused on one person: Ryan Romance. Dorein felt his heart flutter as he repeated his friends name in his head. It was quite a beautiful name, to match such a beautiful person... Dorein tried to resist a smile from crossing his innocent face as his mind began to sink into thoughts of his friend.

Dorein was thrilled to be going to see him again. Ryan was the closest friend he had, without a doubt. Ryan was Dorein's other half, his twin, if you will. At least, that's what young Dorein believed. At first, he was a bit wary of giving his heart to Ryan, especially after what happened between Dorein and Max only a year ago... Dorein shook his head at the memory. But, after being friends with Ryan for so long, Dorein was certain that wouldn't happen again. He gave a slight nod, confirming the thoughts inside his head as he glanced upward under his eyelashes, staring ahead into the darkness.

He bit his lip, gently messing with the snakebite piercings in his bottom lip nervously. He quickened his pace a little, getting that awkward feeling in his stomach, as if someone were following him. He desparately wanted to turn around and look, but, fear kept his eyes peeled to the ground. Dorein shivered again... walking around in the dark always made the boy a little anxious. But, once he was with Ryan, he was sure he would feel better.

Why was the trek to the cove always so damn long? Dorein raised his head more, uncrossing his arms as he dashed toward the caves, his breath becoming quicker and more shallow. Luckily, he had worn a pair of converses and jeans, so, running wasn't really uncomfortable. Plus, Dorein could use the exercise... well, no really, but, he seemed to think he did. His thoughts were disrupted suddenly as the sillouette image of a massive cave came into few under the moonlit sky. Thank God. Hopefully Ryan was already there... Dorein wasn't sure if he'd be able to stand being out there all alone.

Finally, a figure became visible nearby the cave. Dorein immediately recognized it to be Ryan, his heart skipping a beat as he saw him, a warm smile spreading across his adorable face. He glanced behind him quickly to make sure no one else was there, before taking off toward his friend, absolutely delighted to see him again. Dorein came to a stop behind Ryan and embraced him, gasping a few times as he tried to catch his breath. He inhaled Ryan's sweet scent and closed his eyes, suddenly unable to find the words to speak. "I missed you," Dorein blurted out softly, the volume of his childish voice low and quiet as he tried to settle his rapidly-beating heart.

Dorein trembled a bit in Ryan's arms, glad to finally be near him, to be with him. He drew a deep breath, praying it wasn't simply a dream... but no, it most definitely wasn't a dream. No dream could match the perfect sweetness in Ryan's touch. The smile over his face widened a bit as he slowly opened his eyes and lifted his head, returning Ryan's sweet kiss, melting as their lips locked. It felt so good to be with Ryan, so right, so true... any kind of worries Dorein might have felt dissolved into nothing when he was Ryan. Just the mere thought of Ryan was enough to make Dorein's day brighter. If only his parents could understand the happiness he felt with Ryan...

His thoughts disappeared as he heard Ryan's soothing voice. But, Dorein frowned a bit by his words. Well, he most definitely knew what it was like to be held prisioner in your own home... his parents were the same way. He sighed quietly, "... I'm sorry," he said gently, gently taking Ryan's hands in his eyes as his eyes floated toward the ground, "... I was so scared my parents were going to wake up and catch me... they'd murder me if they knew I was out here." He shuddered at the thought, turning his gaze back to Ryan.

He tried to smile again, to lighten the mood. "But, we're both here now..." He added optimistically. Dorein always tried to look on the bright side of things. He gently sat down in Ryan's lap as he pulled him down, though, jumped up quickly at Ryan's flinch, for fear he had hurt his friend. He pouted as he learned that Ryan had simply sat upon a rock. "Are you alright?" He asked as he once again nestled into Ryan's lap. He gently carassed Ryan's cheek as he rested his head upon Dorein's shoulder, sighing dreamily.

He closed his eyes again, loosing himself as he sat there with Ryan. Dorein felt safe being with him, as if nothing could penetrate through the bond that they shared. He opened his eyes again to gaze upon Ryan's angelic face... his fears flown away, making him feel peaceful and calm there in Ryan's arms. Words could never describe how much young Dorein cared for him, how much he longed to be close to him, to make him happy. Oh, what he would do just to see Ryan smile... just to know Ryan was safe.

Dorein shivered with pleasure at Ryan's touch... oh, how good it felt to have Ryan's lips upon his skin. He let out a short gasp of delight, smiling faintly. He wished it could be like this everyday... just he and Ryan, together, happy, safe... oh, how wonderful that would be. His eyes fluttered down to Ryan again as he spoke, his jaw dropping by his words. I'm not worth it... Dorein looked horrified by this. How could Ryan ever think that? He gently took his hands and rested them on Ryan's cheeks, looking at him, his brown eyes quite serious, "You're worth more to me then anything you could ever imagine..." He said, his voice hushed and sincere, before passionately locking his lips with Ryan's.

After a moment, Dorein pulled away gently, smiling warmly at Ryan as he rested his head upon Dorein's shoulder once more. He laughed softly at his words. "Awwh..." He cooed quietly as he pouted childishly. "I'm jealous. I thought I was the only one who could sexually assault your ass?" He laughed again, unable to keep a straight face as he spoke. He calmed down as he felt Ryan embrace him... oh, how lovely it felt to have Ryan's arms around him. Dorein gently put his arms around Ryan's neck, running his hands through his big, soft, black hair as he kissed him once again.

It felt so right being with Ryan... and yet, some other people seemed to think it was quite the opposite. Some other people like his parents. His silly, overly-religious parents, who couldn't accept love for love. Their words echoed in his head. God created Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve... How stupid it all was. Couldn't they just be happy with who Dorein was, rather then trying to change him into something he wasn't? Ah, well. Dorein pushed the thoughts aside quickly. He wasn't going to let his parents interfere with the perfect bond he shared with Ryan.

He sighed quietly as Ryan spoke, nodding. He smiled, glad to know he would be seeing Ryan again tomorrow. "Alright," Dorein said with another nod, trembling as he felt Ryan's breath on his skin. He played with Ryan's hair childishly, trying to think of a clever excuse to give to his parents about Ryan's visit... or perhaps a way to get them out of the house completely. Yes, that would be nice, to have the house all to themselves. "I look forward to it."
